Fresno State and Fresno Unified School District will host the 2017 College Send-Off Reception from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Hoover High School. The deadline to register is April 8 but students must RSVP by Thursday, March 23 to receive a congratulatory medallion. The reception celebrates students who are graduating from Fresno Unified high schools and are conditionally admitted to attend Fresno State for the fall semester. The event is free and students are welcomed to invite family members. Several educational leaders of the Fresno community will speak at the event, including Fresno Unified Superintendent Bob Nelson, Fresno State Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Frank Lamas, Fresno State Vice President for Enrollment Services Malisa Lee and Fresno State Associate Vice President for Student Success Services Maxine McDonald.
