The Fresno State Catered Cupboard is encouraging University departments and organizations to save leftover food from catered events for students. If food is left over after a catered event, organizations are encouraged to call 559.278.3663 to report the time, date and location of the food. Catered Cupboard will then notify students with the Fresno State app to the location of the free food. Catered Cupboard is available via the Fresno State app and is part of the Food Security Project. The project launched in 2014 to combat food insecurity on campus. The Catered Cupboard is a “convenient and immediate way to communicate to students where food is available at the conclusion of campus catered events through a push notification on their phones.” Catered Cupboard is available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
