The College of Social Sciences will sponsor “A Symposium on Campus and Community Partnerships” from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the North Gym (Room 118) to facilitate partnerships and shared experiences between Asian Pacific Islander/Asian American communities and Fresno State faculty, staff and students. Welcome and opening remarks will begin at 9:15 a.m. followed by Session 1: “Existing Partnerships, The Campus Community Bridge.” Dr. Franklin Ng, professor emeritus of Asian American studies, will deliver the keynote address during lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free, public event is also sponsored by the Asian Faculty and Staff Association, Central California Asian Pacific Women and the CSU Asian American and Pacific Islander Initiative.
