Dr. Sarah Lam was appointed the assistant vice president of international affairs and senior international officer at Fresno State, announced Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, provost and vice president for academic affairs. Lam, who recently served as the interim vice associate dean of the Kremen School of Education and Human Development and interim vice president for international affairs, has more than 20 years of experience in higher education serving as a professor, study abroad coordinator and counselor for underrepresented and international students. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Hong Kong and attended Fresno State as an international student, where she obtained her master’s degree in marriage, family and child counseling. She earned her Ed.D in educational leadership from the joint doctoral program of Fresno State and University of California, Davis. Lam is an Executive Leadership Fellow of the Center for Studies in Higher Education, University of California Berkeley.
