A line up of activity is planned for Fresno State’s “Selena” film 20th-anniversary celebration at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Maya Cinemas including performances by the Fresno State Mariachi, the Aztec Student Dance Group and music student Alejandra Tejeda. The films’ award-winning producer Moctesuma Esparza will be honored during a fundraiser celebration to benefit students of the Dream Success Center at Fresno State. The fundraiser is $60 and includes a private reception with Esparza, admission to a viewing of the film at 7 p.m. and movie treats but some of the activities at the Campus Pointe (Chestnut south of Shaw) will be free including the dance performance beginning at 5 p.m. followed by a Selena look-a-like contest and the mariachi.
