The Fresno Community Chorus-sponsored Coro Solare will perform “Choral Classics: Music of Haydn, Martini and Fauré” at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, at the College Community Church Mennonite Brethren. The concert is free and open to the public. Coro Solare will perform Martini’s “Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina” portions of Haydn’s “Little Organ Mass” and Fauré’s “Cantique de Jean Racine,” directed by Dr. Anna Hamre, Fresno State music professor and chorus director. Coro Solare, Fresno’s new daytime classical choir, continues to grow with over 70 singers in just its second season. Members come from as far away as Auberry, Coalinga, Coarsegold and Three Rivers. Formed for, but not limited to, adult singers, Coro Solare provides the opportunity to join others to sing fine choral works, make new friends and perform choral music in concert with professional instrumentalists.
