The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) is accepting donations for the fifth annual Helping Hams campaign through Monday, Dec. 4. The campaign’s goal is to raise $7,500 to purchase 250 hams for area families and students in need. Donations will be accepted in increments of $5 by cash or check, and six donations (or $30) will purchase one ham. The campaign, sponsored by Associated Students, Inc., is also still accepting applications from Fresno State-affiliated charities, departments and auxiliary services that can apply online to ASI at http://bit.ly/FS17-hams-apply through Sunday, Dec. 3. Organizations will be notified of their status via email by Friday, Dec. 8, and approved organizations are tentatively scheduled to pick up allotments on Friday, Dec. 15.
