Protecting and expanding women’s health in a time of uncertainty is the topic of a free, public community forum from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Central Valley Community Foundation (5260 N. Palm Ave, Suite 122). The forum will address the possible repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which expanded health access for millions of women throughout the state. Local experts and allies in the field will discuss the complexity of women’s health coverage and care in the Central Valley, the challenges and barriers they face with health access and opportunities to improve women’s health outcomes and reduce disparities. Registration is available online. Hosting the forum is the Central Valley Health Policy Institute at Fresno State and Essential Access Health. INFO: Sylvia Castillo at scastillo@essentialaccess.org.
