Fresno State agricultural ambassador students will host an information booth for World Ag Expo travelers at the Fresno International Airport baggage claim from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11. Students from Fresno State’s Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology will also promote the University’s variety of agricultural programs at an expo information booth all day Feb. 13 through Feb. 15 at the expo’s Ag Career and Education Pavilion in Tulare. Fresno State live mascot Victor E. Bulldog III will join the students at the booth from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 14. Fresno State First Lady Mary Castro, Jordan College Dean Sandra Witte, staff and students will host an ice cream social at the booth for visitors from 10 to 10:45 a.m. featuring Fresno State ice cream. Witte will then appear on the Ray Appleton Show on KMJ at 11 a.m. Feb. 15. The campus Center for Irrigation Technology will cap the event with 10 half-hour seminars on improving agricultural water management from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 15 at the expo seminar center. Last year, 100,000-plus visitors from 47 states and 79 countries traveled to the world’s largest agricultural exposition to see the latest in farm equipment and technology from 1,500 exhibitors on 2.6 million square feet.
