The Fresno State Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) will offer wine tasting, food samples and discounted prices at part of its Wine and Chocolate Lover’s Weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. The market is one of 17 area locations that are part of the Fresno County Wine Journey and will feature three wines. Tickets are $10 total for both days and are available at http://www.fresnocountywinejourney.com/events.html. Ticket buyers will enjoy 2016 varieties of the Fresno State Merlot, Pinot Noir and SJ Chardonnay, which received a silver medal at the recent San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Awards. Samples of chocolate bark candy, cabernet blackberry jam, dried fruit and carmelized onion spread will also be available. All chocolate candy will be discounted 15 percent for Valentine’s Day from Feb. 9 to 14. Shoppers are also encouraged to the enjoy the special ice cream flavor of the month, Raspberry Romance, and gift baskets that include wine, candy and marina sauce. The market is also hosting the campus wine club shipment pick-up from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. The club offers members 20 percent savings on each of its four different membership plans, and members can buy special edition wines and attend exclusive winery events.
