The Fresno State Community Health Mobile Unit will partner with Assemblyman Dr. Joaquin Arambula for a series of community resource fairs aimed at providing information from local agencies in health care, education, legal aid, workforce development and immigration services. The resource fairs will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Panzak Park (101 N. 3rd St.) in Fowler; from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Orange Cove City Hall (633 6th St.) in Orange Cove; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Gonzalez Hall (1417 3rd St.) in Mendota. Nursing students will provide diabetes and blood pressure screenings, plus health assessments, education and referrals. Free flu shots for ages 4 and up are available and limited to the first 50 individuals. The unit, coordinated by Fresno State nursing faculty and students, travels to rural communities in Fresno County, offering free health services to those who do not have readily available access to health care.
