Fresno State students and employees can receive tax help from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program through the Department of Accountancy in the Craig School of Business. Partnering with United Way, students who are IRS-certified volunteers help provide the free service for low-income taxpayers with an income below $55,000.

Both walk-ins and appointments are accepted, however walk-ins will have to wait in line to receive tax assistance. The program will be open on weekends from Friday, Feb. 1 to Sunday, April 14, and is located in the Leon S. Peters Building (Room 133). The sessions are held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Parking in Lot P6 is free on weekends beginning at 4 p.m. on Fridays. To make an appointment, call United Way at 2-1-1 or toll-free at 866.559.4211. INFO: Tim Baker, faculty Volunteer Income Tax Assistance coordinator, at 559.278.3997.
