CineCulture will present “Lorraine Hansberry: Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart” at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium. The first-ever feature documentary about Lorraine Hansberry, the author of the groundbreaking play “A Raisin in the Sun,” resurrects the passionate artist, committed activist and sought-after public intellectual who waged an outspoken and defiant battle against injustice in 20th-century America.

Dr. Margaret Wilkerson, author of the forthcoming book, “Lorraine Hansberry: Am I a Revolutionary?”, will direct a discussion following the film. The screening is sponsored by the Africana Studies Program. Admission is free and parking is free in lots P3 and P2.
