Fresno State nutrition and dietetic students will host 30 “Bulldogs in the Grocery Store” nutritional information tours for Fresno State students and the community from March 4 through May 6, at the Save Mart Supermarket (5750 N. First St.). The one-hour sessions will teach the importance of fruits and vegetables in fresh, dried, canned, frozen and juice products.

The eight-person tours will include free educational materials, coupons, budgeting tips and recipes. A student-designed cookbook will also be available at the end of the tour for $5. Dr. Lisa Herzig, Fresno State dietetics and food administration program director, is coordinating the program, which was created by a $5,000 grant from the Produce for Better Health Foundation.
