The German Studies Association announced that the book “Hitler’s American Friends: The Third Reich’s Supporters in the United States,” by Fresno State associate professor Dr. Bradley Hart, was awarded the Sybil Halpern Milton Memorial Book Prize. The prize, which is awarded in odd-numbered years, honors the best book dealing with Nazi Germany and the Holocaust during the previous two-year period.
The association says it considered books from all languages and countries on a wide variety of topics to select the winners. Hart is currently an International Affairs Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C., while teaching online courses at Fresno State.
