Mahatma Gandhi called her his “precious jewel” of inspiration, and although she lived alongside him, she remained in his shadow until now. The documentary film “Kasturba Gandhi: Accidental Activist” reveals the journey of Kasturba Gandhi and introduces the wife and equal partner of Mahatma Gandhi to the world. This is the first feature film made about Kasturba Gandhi, whom Gandhi called his “guru” and “teacher of nonviolence.” This film documents her life of inspiration through Gandhi experts, Gandhi’s relatives and archival photos and film.
