The Jan and Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning, along with nearly 150 Fresno State volunteers, welcomed the return of Kids Day on March 7, raising nearly $12,000 for Valley Children’s Hospital. After operating virtually for the past three years, the annual fundraiser returned to its familiar in-person format with volunteers taking to the streets to raise funds.

This year, volunteers sold postcards instead of the special edition Fresno Bee newspaper. Although the fundraiser has undergone some changes to its historical operation, the volunteers’ excitement to raise funds stayed the same. In total, Valley Children’s raised $365,740 during the one-day fundraiser.
