The Fresno State Transportation Institute will hold its first railroad model competition at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Satellite Student Union. Student teams from eight Fresno County schools will demonstrate their railroad track models, presentations, and reports during the competition.
The competition is divided into three divisions: upper-elementary, middle and high school. The Transportation Institute provided for free all the materials that participating schools would need for the competition. All teams received various modes of support including professional mentors and coaches, information sessions, instruction manuals, video tutorials, competition guides and more.
