Fresno State will host the inaugural Whole Vine Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, on the lawn northeast of the Science II Building (southwest of the corner of Barstow and Woodrow avenues) at Fresno State.

The free event offers grape and raisin products, food trucks, music, art, kids activities and educational elements that spotlight the San Joaquin Valley’s role as a national leader in table, raisin and wine grape production. Admission and parking are free, and the Fresno State Winery will offer wine tasting alongside several other wineries.

The event will honor Nat DiBuduo, a longtime area grape industry leader and advocate, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. The Fresno State plant science alumnus grew up on his family’s table grape farm in Sanger and served 18 years as president of Allied Grape Growers, which represents 500 independent grape growers and wine industry members.
