During the Community Service Opportunities Fair — from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at The Ruiz room in the Resnick Student Union — students will have the opportunity to learn about volunteer, service-learning, internship and career opportunities offered through over 50 different community-benefit organizations.
When students partner with local community benefit organizations, an opportunity arises for students to develop a better understanding of the comprehensive needs that exist in the community, said Chris Fiorentino, director of the Richter Center. These partnerships provide students with valuable learning experiences and community agencies with a pool of potential volunteers, interns and even employees.
