Fresno State’s College Assistance Migrant Program and Cross Cultural Gender Center will host a Cesar Chavez Commemoration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Fresno State Peace Garden. 

Speakers and performers for the event include:

  • Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula (keynote).
  • University President Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval.
  • Cross Cultural and Gender Center Latino/a assistant coordinator, Cynthia Villalobos.
  • Chicano and Latin American Studies Professor Dr. Victor Torres.
  • Los Danzantes de Aztalan (folklorico dance group).
  • College Assistance Migrant Program director Ofelia Gamez.
  • College Assistance Academic adviser Jose Mundo.
  • Professor Emeritus Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor.
  • “De Colores” (mariachi led by Dr. Donald Henriques).

Welcoming remarks begin at 11:40 a.m. The keynote address and garlanding ceremony begin at 12:15 p.m.
