The Fresno State Winery will host its biggest event of the semester, the Taste of Spring, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, on the lawn next to the Vincent E. Petrucci Viticulture Building (2360 E. Barstow Ave.). 

Department of Viticulture and Enology students will pour popular student-crafted wines, including the winery’s 2021 Alicante Bouschet, which won a San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition gold medal, 2022 Vermentino and 2021 Russian River Pinot Noir, which also won San Francisco Chronicle silver medals. Other wines to be poured include the 2022 Pinot Gris, 2021 Chancellor’s Chardonnay and 2019 Sargent Zinfandel. Light appetizers, including Fresno State sausages, will be served. All Fresno State wines are 15% off for this special occasion.
