The Kremen School of Education and Human Development and Tulare Office of Education will host the fourth annual “Make a Difference – Teach!” conference 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Tulare County Office of Education Conference Center. The half-day experience for high school juniors and seniors from the South Valley will provide insight into the teaching profession.
Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District superintendent and Fresno State alumna Yolanda Valdez will serve as the keynote speaker to provide inspiration from her experience in the field of education. Breakout sessions will feature interactive activities, presentations and panels on topics such as special education, physical education, credential programs and career pathways for teachers.
Over 250 students interested in a teaching career from 10 area schools have registered for the conference, exceeding attendance from previous years.
