In recognition of Pride Month and Fresno State’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the university will raise a pride flag in a ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, at the flagpole on campus just south of the Thomas Building. A short ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., with a reception afterward.
Speakers will include:
- Dr. Rashanda Booker, university diversity officer.
- Varselles Cummings, director of the Cross Cultural and Gender Center at Fresno State.
- Ingie Kisbye, United Student Pride president and two-time Bulldog Pride Fund scholar (student speaker).
- Daniel Gonzales, Fresno State Rainbow Alumnx and Allies Club president.
- Robin McGehee, LGBTQ+ liaison for the City of Fresno.
- Alexandra Cota, National Anthem singer and former Bulldog Pride Fund scholar.
- Special guest Victor E. Bulldog IV, Fresno State’s live mascot.
