For the second consecutive year, Fresno State received a 4.5-star rating on a 5-star scale in Money’s 2024 Best Colleges rating published on June 12.

For the past 10 years, Money has analyzed colleges and universities nationwide to help families in their college search by showing variety and high-value colleges. In this year’s list, Money rated 745 schools on 25 factors in quality, affordability and outcomes.

Fresno State also appeared on the Best Public Colleges and Best Colleges in the West sublists. 

In fall 2023, Fresno State ranked in the top tier of the 2023 Economic Mobility Index published by Third Way, which compares universities nationwide that offer a strong return on investment for students with the greatest financial need. The university also ranked No. 26 overall in Washington Monthly for its contribution to the public good and No. 8 among all colleges nationwide for social mobility in the 2024 U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings.
