The first quarterly Central San Joaquin Valley Cybersecurity Consortium meeting is from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Fresno State Library (Room 2206). Discussions will include the current progress on the development of a regional AI-Cybersecurity pipeline and pathway that includes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math), Career Technical Education, education/training programs, workforce development opportunities, research, community engagement and deepening partnerships to serve the Central Valley.
The Fresno IT-Cybersecurity Soft Start Career Education Collaborative “Connecting Minority Community” grant project is also on the agenda. The meeting will also highlight the Fresno State Workforce Innovation Technology Hub (WITH-Cyber) grant project funded by the California State Assembly and the California State University Chancellor’s Office in 2023. Commander Edward Bombita, California Cybersecurity Integration Center of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, is the keynote speaker. Register.
