Fresno State students will dedicate a portion of their spring break (April 14–16) to hands-on service through Alternative Spring Break. Participants will work at three community sites, tackling meaningful projects that support local organizations.

Service projects and locations:

  • Scout Island Outdoor Education Center (7695 N. Van Ness Ave. in Fresno), 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14-16. Fifteen students will work on tasks that include habitat restoration, native wildlife preservation and environmental projects.
  • Boys and Girls Club – Teen Leadership Conference (540 N. Augusta St. in Fresno), 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 15-16. Ten students will work on tasks that include event preparation and support for the Teen Leadership Conference. 
  • Habitat for Humanity ReStore (1631 Railroad Ave. in Clovis), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14–16. Ten students will work on tasks that include organizing and assisting with the ReStore, a reuse store operated by Habitat for Humanity.
