The third annual National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Wesley United Methodist Church (1343 E. Barstow Ave.) is part of a nationwide initiative to unify communities in drug and crime prevention. The public is invited to participate in the free event, presented by Fresno State’s Associated Student’s Inc. and the Division of Student Affairs with the Fresno Police Department, the El Dorado Park Leaders, Fresno City District 4 Councilmember Paul Caprioglio and Wesley United Methodist Church.
