Alejandro Gonzales-Montoya, Latino Affairs manager for the San Diego Padres baseball team, will deliver the keynote address at the Fresno Hispanic Scholarship Fund “Black & White Ball” at 6 p.m. tonight (Oct. 25) at the International Catering Hall in Fresno. The theme is Samba Nights featuring the Fransini Giraldo Samba Dancers from Los Angeles. Four Fresno State students will receive $1,000 scholarships. Montoya is also an author and speaker who delivers motivational presentations about success and overcoming disability obstacles. He carried the Olympic Torch during the 1996 Summer Olympics in the U.S. Mezcal, a local band, will provide the evening’s music. Tickets are still available for $75 each.
