Student engineering projects will be on display in the “Engineers at the Mall” exhibit Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Fresno Fashion Fair Mall.

Sponsored by the School of Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering Students Joint Council (ESJC) at California State University, Fresno, the display will be open during regular business hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The exhibits will include a hybrid electric vehicle, solar power vehicle, human powered vehicle, concrete canoe, demonstration of logic circuits, micro-robots, light communication systems, land survey equipment, robotic arm, micro mouse, student design projects, and hands-on activities.

The event is held during National Engineering Week, which is sponsored by professional engineering organizations.

The goal of National Engineering Week and “Engineers at the Mall” is to increase public awareness of engineer’s contributions to the quality of life and to encourage young students to pursue careers in engineering and science.
