Susan Hilferty, chair of the Department of Design for Stage and Film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, will speak about costume design on Wednesday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Conley Lecture Hall at California State University, Fresno.

She has designed over 200 productions for theaters across America from Broadway to the Bay Area, as well as in other countries. She designs for stage, opera, film, television, and dance and has many stories to tell.

Background

The CSU Summer Arts Festival, hosted by Fresno State July 1 to 27, offers 35 public events throughout the community. The internationally-acclaimed residency program features 16 intensive Summer Arts workshops bringing 420 students, teachers and arts professionals from around the country and some international artists to the campus and various locations around town.
