The summer heat is on, but the Farm Market is doing its best to make things feel a little cooler with Fresno State ice cream.

The second Tuesday of each month is when the university’s Farm Market offers free tastes to everyone who drops by the market at Chestnut and Barstow avenues (southeast corner). The market is open 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Free for the tasting this Tuesday, July 10, are Java Cappuccino Chip and Mocha Almond Fudge.

The Farm Market also features seasonal produce – including the very popular sweet corn. Shoppers also will find the largest selection anywhere of Fresno State wines and other student-produced foods, such as milk, jams, sundae toppings, barbecue sauce, nuts, covered raisins, sausage and other meats and extra-virgin olive oil.

Proceeds from the university’s agricultural enterprises are used to enhance programs of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology that offer students a wide variety of educational and hands-on training.
