The Kremen School of Education and Human Development at
California State University, Fresno is holding its inaugural teacher induction ceremony and reception at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Satellite Student Union.

Larry Powell, the Fresno County schools superintendent, will speak about “Morals, Values and Professional Behavior” in teaching at the ceremony to which students entering Fresno State’s Teacher Education Program were invited by Dean Paul Beare.

The event will emphasize the importance of setting high standards as a teaching professional, concluding with students taking an oath of affirmation to live up to those standards and receiving a Kremen School to acknowledge their commitment.

A lunch reception will follow the ceremony.
