Fresno State Smittcamp Family Honors College students and community volunteers will join with the Native American cultural organization “Many Lightnings” 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, to plant trees at Pathway of Our Ancestors. This five-acre Native American garden and cultural education site is located on the Jensen River Ranch property along the San Joaquin River (west of the north parking lot at Woodward Park). Fresno State students have volunteered at the site for three years to create a cultural and spiritual garden of native plants linked to the indigenous traditions of the Central Valley.
