Fresno State officials said today that plans for a local memorial service for Coach Jerry Tarkanian will be finalized after they meet with family members following his private funeral service in Las Vegas Monday. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Lois and the entire Tarkanian family at this time,” said Jim Bartko, Fresno State athletics director. “We are in close contact with the Tarkanian family and we will advise of any plans after Monday’s service in Las Vegas.”
