“Yellowman” opens the 2015-16 University Theatre season at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Dennis and Cheryl Woods Theatre in the Speech Arts building. The production runs through Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. daily except for a 2 p.m. matinee Oct. 4 and no performances Oct. 5. The minimalist, memory play explores the universal struggles of race, alcoholism and abuse. “Yellowman” contains mature themes, brief violence, explicit language and will use strobe lights.
