The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Fresno State named Martina Granados as the new director of University Outreach Services and Phong Yang as the new director of the Office of Undergraduate Student Recruitment. The pair replaces outgoing outreach director Frances Peña-Olgin, who retires this month after 36 years at the University. Granados, who has worked in the division with Fresno State’s Upward Bound program the past 25 years — 14 as director — will focus on early outreach services to the community and oversee the federally-funded TRiO programs and services and the Dream Outreach Center. Yang, who has been with Fresno State both as a student and as professional staff for over 25 years, most recently serving as the associate director of  outreach, will focus on recruiting students to meet enrollment goals, including specific targets set by academic colleges.
