The Jan and Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning at Fresno State presents the 24th Community Service Opportunities Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, in Memorial Court outside the Kennel Bookstore. The event provides students, staff and faculty with information about dozens of community-benefit organizations and hundreds of service-learning opportunities. Over 70 agencies will share information about volunteer opportunities in the community. “Those attending the fair will be able to personally shop the agencies to learn more about the services they provide and the volunteer opportunities they have available,” said Trisha Studt, Community Partnerships coordinator for the Richter Center, which has helped coordinate more than 10 million hours of community service the past decade.
