Dr. Corey Whtiehead will perform in the Table Mountain Rancheria Reading Room of the Henry Madden Library as part of the Noontime Concert Series on Friday, Dec. 2 at 12:10 p.m. Whitehead is an associate professor of music and the artistic director and coordinator for the Noontime Concert Series. His musical style ranges from classical and flamenco to pop, rock and jazz. In 2009 and 2010 flamenco icon Manolo Sanlúcar awarded Whitehead with a full scholarship to study in Córdoba at “La forma y naturaleza de la guitarra flamenco.” Whitehead also studied under other flamenco and guitar icons such as Juan Serrano, Manolo Franco and Paco Serrano.
