Visiting Fulbright Scholar Laura Tiitinen, a professor from the University of Lapland in Finland, will present a lecture on “Whistleblowing in the Finnish Child Protection System” from noon to 1:30 p.m.  Wednesday, March 15, at the Henry Madden Library (Room 3212). Tiitinen’s lecture will explore whistleblowing as a macro social work method, using child protection cases as an example. She’ll discuss Finnish laws that require social workers to report illegal or unethical practices in the workplace as it relates to child protective services.
