The Fresno State Community Health Mobile Unit will make two stops next week to provide free health services to the community at Cantua Creek Elementary School (29288 W. Clarkson Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11; and at Hope House in Madera (117 N. R St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 14. Residents can receive diabetes and blood pressure screenings as well as health assessments, education and referrals. Free flu shots, for ages 4 and up, are available and limited to the first 50 individuals. The unit, coordinated by Fresno State nursing faculty and students, travels to various rural communities in Fresno County offering free health services to those who do not have readily available access to health care.
