Latino Student Success Conference inspires students

Clovis Unified School District will hold its fourth annual Latino Student Success Conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 31,at Fresno State. About 800 students from all six Clovis Unified high schools — Clovis, Clovis East, Clovis West, Clovis North, Buchanan and Gateway — are expected to attend. The goal of the conference is to encourage students to pursue a college education. Students will attend a variety of workshops intended to help them reach their educational goals, in addition to meeting mentors, key community members and role models. Students will also be treated to a keynote by Champion of Choices founder Marc Mero.
