Dr. Saul Jimenez-Sandoval, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Fresno State, reads to youngsters in the Reading Garden during the 2016 Feria de Educacion, set this year for Oct. 7. 2017.

Feria de Educación, one of three California State University education fairs held throughout the state and conducted mostly in Spanish, will be hosted by Fresno State for the third year Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Maple Mall on campus.

Co-sponsored by the CSU Chancellors Office and Univision Fresno, last year’s Fresno State Feria event drew more than 10,000 participants from Valley schools – Spanish-speaking families and their children – with the help of county migrant education offices. A kickoff breakfast will be held June 9 for school district officials who are encouraged to help promote the event in their respective areas.
