The Youth Orchestras of Fresno, featuring 300 young musicians, will perform Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at Saroyan Theatre, 700 M Street. Dr. Thomas Loewenheim will conduct. Award-winning Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert will join the orchestra and perform a featured solo on Rachmaninoff’s second concerto. The program will also include music by Shostakovich and Glazunov, with dancers from Shirley Winters Ballet. Voluntary donation $10-$20 per ticket.Reserve premium seats.
