Jackie Mundt, a 2009 Fresno State agricultural communications graduate, won the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers discussion meet Monday, Jan. 14, at its annual meeting in New Orleans. The contest was open to 18- to 35 year-old competitors who had won their respective state competitions, which focused on agricultural industry topics such as production technology protection, increasing more inclusive policies, attracting talent from science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas, and more.
Mundt also was a former American Farm Bureau national college discussion semifinalist and state champion. She will receive a new Ford truck as the contest winner.
