University flags at half-staff March 9 in honor of Frederick George Stein

Fresno State’s national and state flags will be posted at half-staff on Saturday, March 9, for Frederick George Stein, a longtime friend of the University. Mr. Stein died on March 1 at the age of 90. Mr. Stein was president of both the Fresno State Alumni Association and the Bulldog Foundation.

In 2006, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Bulldog Foundation. Mr. Stein worked for Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Company for 39 years, retiring in 1994. Remembrances may be made to the Bulldog Foundation or the Fresno State Alumni Association. In honor of Mr. Stein’s contributions to Fresno State, a moment of silence will be observed at the Men’s Basketball game on Saturday, March 9.
