Álamo Meneses, the mayor of the Azores city of Angra do Heroísmo, will give a lecture on “Angra and the World: From the Era of the Discoveries to Contemporary Times” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Ag lecture hall (AG 109). Angra is a World Heritage City and played a pivotal role in connecting Europe and America.
The talk is free and open to the public. Parking in $5 is lots P27, P20 or P1.
