Two student teams from the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno were winners in the 42nd annual International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition in San Diego on April 6-8. Both teams were awarded trophies in the “Outstanding Reports” category.

Team members competed as management executives of businesses in a computerized simulation of business operations within a highly competitive environment. More than just a game, the activity is an intensive test of managerial capabilities of the participants.

The undergraduate team, which created a company called Red Star, consisted of Max Anfilofyev, chief executive officer; Leo Jaime, chief financial officer; Rebecca Wilson, vice president of operations; Brooke Swanson, vice president of marketing; and Rudy Lucio, executive assistant of marketing.

The MBA team, which created a company called Orbis, consisted of Jennifer Cedar, CEO; Chay Thao, chief operations officer; Hector Gonzalez, chief marketing officer; and Mark Riley, CFO.
