The Fresno State Equine Program Open House will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.

The event is free and open to the public at the Quarter Horse Unit at Barstow and Price avenues, west of O’Neill Park on the California State University, Fresno campus.

A tour of the facilities will include a view of the horses available for purchase and the stallions for breeding in 2010. They may be viewed in advance at the program’s Web site.

Guests may meet with Dr. Anne Rodiek, animal science professor in Fresno State’s Jordan College of Agricultural Science and Technology and manager of the Quarter Horse Unit on campus. Prospective students can learn about the Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Science and other services offered at Fresno State.
