Fresno State’s Upward Bound Program will host its November College Conference 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov.17, in the Music Building, Room 160. Upward Bound students from Edison, McLane, Roosevelt, Fresno, Madera and Madera South High Schools will engage in networking, career exploration, a presentation from UC Davis and an Upward Bound student panel. Students can also practice their college-level test taking skills, as well as complete college and scholarship applications. The Upward Bound Program is designed for low-income, first-generation college-bound high school students. Funded by the United States Department of Education, the program recruits freshmen and sophomores from Fresno area high schools and provides assistance through teaching and counseling.
